6v92 oil question ??

I also have purchased 40 weight oil at WalMart (CF-2 on the label).
I would also be interested to know if this is bad for the DD?

Lyndon, and Stromclould if the oil has the cf-2 rating it ok because its packaged by Warren Labs in Omaha NE and made by Citgo got this info from Walmart.I been following this oil topic on the BNO board between RJ and luvrbus and they both had some real good info.but i would not just put any kind of oil in an engine without knowing the facts its your engine and the rebuild is going to be on you.FWIW they keep a MDS on file for their products in each store thats the law in the USA,and if you are confused now wait till 2010 when they change the rating again on oils

I was wrong about the ash content in the Rotella T 40W.  Sorry for steering you wrong on that.

And I had the folks at O'Rielly's Auto Parts order my Delo 100.  I had to give them the codes referenced in the tejascoach site.  You buy it by the case of 6 gallons.

what part of texas are you in. we have a supplier  in tyler texas . which still carries the straight 40 oil. in one gallon and 55 gallon barrels. thanks j.t.

I'm in Kerrville ( not quite a year yet ).
There are quite a few lube oil suppliers around here but CF-2 was hard, for me, to find.
Some suppliers ( like Napa ) said "all that oil is the same just the labels are different".
Some of the lube oil houses tried hard to push me to Delo 400 either multi or 40 wt.
They were only tring to sell what they had, but handing out bad info along the way. 
But I blame them for not knowing their business products.
But now I know where to go to find it and knowelgable people also.
It doesn't take much to make me happy.
Getting the supplies together for our winter trip to Mexico.
I carry a few oil and fuel filters and a little more than one oil change with us in the bays.

Chevron's site with the Product Data Sheets is back online today. Go to:

In the lower LH corner, select the region you want, then click "Go". This brings up another page with all the various Delo products on it. Each is a .pdf file, so you can print it out, if you wish.

Also, if obtaining Texaco is easier for some folk, their Ursa Super Duty and Extra Duty single weights meet DDA's two-stroke specs. Extra Duty's PDS sheets show specs identical to Delo 100, which makes sense - Texaco's owned by Chevron now. Here's a link to the Ursa site:
