Anyone interested in starting an old bus collection? I see some of these old buses on ebay, and I get calls from time to time from people wanting to donate them. I know that there are already a few museums around but just an idea for the moment. Not thinking of restoring them, just displaying them in one area. I can donate the space in AZ at the caverns on RT 66. Might be able to get towing done as well. Anyone interested in helping form a non profit group.  It might be fun to collect some of these. Maybe, maybe not. I see them on ebay, Let me know of any interest.

I may have started it, but you'll have to finish it!

Hi Mike, I would say yes, I am interested.
Especially as some of these ole girls keep going to the scrap yards, simply for their aluminum.  A shamed!

Mike,

I think that's a great idea. I have seen so many older coaches for sale of late, and the thoughts of some of them getting scraped is sad. Hopefully there will be enough interest to move forward. And that's a perfect area, nice and dry.

Mike,

Haven't a clue as to what I could do but count me in.  Seems like a really nice idea.  I am located on the I5 corridor in Eugene, Oregon.  100 miles isn't a problem for me...more if it is important.

Chris, welcome to the board.  Tell Cherie that she is one smart lady and either catches on quick or has been around buses a long time.  Cat

Hi Cat, Cherie said thanks and that our buses are nothing more than Giant vacuum cleaners that suck the bills right out of your pockets as you walk by too close.

how about a donation box by the entry door for tours?

I would suggest alignining yourself with Either the pacific bus Museum and/or the Museum of Bus Transportation.

and being an annex so to speak of one or both.....then you would not have the legal hastle of gaining non profit status

Hi yo silver

Couldn't such an organization also serve as sort of a clearinghouse for parts exchange?  Someone might need a part from a donor bus, or someone else can donate a needed part, as suggested above.  Great idea!  This could be big!
