I hear 'dirty aluminum' is bringing $500/ ton at some scrap yards.
If a bus weighs 30,000#, that's $7500 AS SCRAP!

If someone wants an old aluminum bus, they better update their opinion of what they're worth. Lots of good parts buses are dissapearing fast.

These are the Bids for her.. as you can see, it ended with some Bone head bidding $15,000 in the last half hour, NOBODY bid after that .. I think its a Scam bid, I have had items bid on like that..
I wrote to the seller and told him I thought that it May be a scam bid..
He retorted.
"WHY, its worth $25,000" I said i wasnt trying to Offend, and its only worth what you can get for it...

Any old bus is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Period. It matters not what the sellers opinion is, nor what the receipts tally up to.

For the record, 4 years ago when I bought 092 on ebay, I was called lots worse than an idiot for paying the astronomical sum of $7500.

The bidding was running around $2000 when I clicked "buy it now".

I still say that if the description was accurate, $15k isn't bad, especially when I think about what it's gonna cost me (time & $$) to get one to that condition mechanically.

This is a hobby & you know how irrational some are when it comes to spending on their's.

(Several years ago, a friend was so proud of his special bicycle frame that cost $4k. Now it is considered too heavy & hence it is almost worthless.)
