I wrote to Charlie to find out if this was really his bus. Hopefully I'll have a story soon.

PD4501-666 was bought by a ex Greyhound driver some years ago and he drove it from Nashville,TN to the Southern California area where it sat for quite sometime.
I thought the old bus had been bought scrapped for parts glad to see some one had got her back on the road.
jlv ;D

Seems that Southern California is a place where a lot of them end up. I know of several out here.

Proper destination sign  "Highway To Hell" I believe it was AC/DC's tour bus  ;D

You'd think if they had $45k invested in it that they would include pictures to show off their 'investment'

The one pic they included didn't show much . . . .

Too far away for me to consider  :'(

Someone should give it a good home.  ;D
It sounds like it may be a great shell to start with, but look carefully for structural rust. It was a central New York & Eastern Greyhound  :(

I requested pics also and was told they are working on it.  Said the interior is immaculate and the windows leak a little.

To me that picture of 666 in the parking lot looks like a model toy when you compare the parking lines to the size of the bus-please post if more pictures come up.  Good Luck, TomC

This account put up on PD4501 regestry buy the guy that bought her on Ebay in 2001..

After winning it on EBAy we were able to get it running with a couple of days work, then we drove it home to my house in Garden Grove where we gutted the scary interior ( shag carpet everywhere with all these cubie holes for sleeping) We were told that the bus used to belong to the Charlie Daniels Band as there tour bus.
After we gutted the inside we rebuilt the 8v71 that was in it, then we drove it to my other friends house and there it got all new wiring, went thru the brake system, air system, restored the dash and got all the gauges working and stripped the body.
Got to go- I'll get more interior pics soon-

Way too far for me too. I am still hoping to adopt from the orpahage one day myself. ;)
Hope it gets a good home regardless.
