Hey everyone,

On my 81 eagle model 10 I go to use the blinkers and the both lights come on like the hazards are on. All lights work, IE running, headlights and tail lights. Any Ideas would be great.
Thanks, Robert at www.tamihall.com

Possibly a bad flasher unit.  IIRC, your Eagle is a 12v coach.  Try a Wagner HD Flasher, #852/5x, and see if that cures the problem.  If not, time to get out the tools and start chasing electrical circuits.

FWIW & HTH. . .

first question would be is this a new problem or has it been there since you got the coach. second, do you have a schematic of the electric system? if not I may be able to scan mine and email it to you. I have an 81 model 10 Eagle also but the PO did it no favor in the electric dept. lots of corroded wire ends and cut and spliced stuff. I finally got annoyed enough to rip it all out and build a new harness. if you need help I will be at the shop sunday working on mine and have the books there so you can call me on my cell in the afternoon. 954-270-2628

Steve, looks like you are in S. Florida. Do you Ward at Ward Marine or Mike at Atlas Energy or Greg Bishop?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

I used to be in S. Fla but I have been in north east Georgia for two years now. everyone in the world knows my cell number so I just keep it rather than deal with letting everyone learn a new one. I know the name Ward marine but I dont know any of them, sorry.

Sounds like a ground problem to me.

2 relays in front electrical box - 1 for left turn, 1 for right turn. There was a relay for "manual blink" too.
Definitely check all the grounds - especially for dash, and in operator's compartment.
I have diagrams, just gotta find 'em.
Good luck.  Sammy 8)

Lots of good suggestions.

Do your self a favor and make about a 10' piece of wire with alligator clips on both ends.

Anytime your troubleshooting a DC problem, hook up to your panel ground and to the ground of what ails you.

The vast majority of DC problems are ground related.

This will really shorten your T/S ing time and good to have in a pinch at O:dark thirty when you need to get somewhere.
