While in the process of removing the upper bagage compartments of the bus, something fell down the back of my shirt. Now if you have ever done this job you know your going to find out just what that was. So what might have been misconstued as a lively gig, or some type of contortion exercise a nugget fell to the floor. Now in my profession (recycling centers) it's a must to know all types of metals. This seemed to be something that I don't see that much of..gold.. After cleaning, feeling, yes I even bit it (not a professional metallurgical process) but just seemed to be the right thing to do. So almost convinced that this was the real thing, I very carfully swept all the nuggets/fine particles into a baggy. Not wanting to get bogged down on how it could have gotten into a hidden place in the compartment, I labored on. In the very next compartment I droped, there was a package of "Inca Gold" toilet sanatizer. What a laugh I had at my own expence thinking that could have been gold.. After several days of suspence I opened the pacage of "Inca Gold", it was blue...and after the (professional metallurgical test) it's not the same. The rest of the story, 1.97 troy ozs the assay of purity isn't know yet, but all that glitters could be gold in the bus.

Now Jim that was one of my first thoughts, however thats one of the metals I buy by the tons every year. Therefore I ruled that out first thing

It sounds like your sharp eye and sweeping up trash is going to net you around $1400. Quite the mystery how it got there -- any chance it could fall in there after some passenger spilled his gold in the overhead compartment?

when you bought the bus did you also buy the mineral rights. need to cover yourself so the previous owner doesnt come and stake a claim.

Half?? You oughta see the yard of this place! Foam, seats, siding, carpet, nuts, bolts and insulation everywhere. And then, there is BK, sitting with his head in his hands wondering how he is going to get it all put back together before his mom sees the mess.
