My speedometer is stuck at full deflection (80mph) at all times, power on, off, moving or stationary.

How can I go about troubleshooting this? I'm guessing by previous posts that speedometer troubles are pretty common?

Dave,

What kind is it, what model etc.. Need to know so the correct information can get to you.

I haven't pulled it or looked behind it yet but I didn't see anything on the face at all indicating a brand....unless I missed it which I guess is possible.

I guess I'll have to pull it or something.
