Ms. Dreamscape here - actually, Kenneth lives in Plano, TX ..... my husband's fingers were tired and dyslexic.

Kenneth was one cool dude - really did enjoy meeting him!  He knows everything about that Flxible, inside and out!

Happy trails,

 Hello All,
Didn't think anyone would remember me after I vanished from the scene. I was getting emails from Flxible owners that I never knew before, and was wondering what was going on. One mentioned a "MAK board". Curiousity got the better of me, and after some research I found that MAK Publishing is the sponsor of the Bus Conversions Bulletin Board, so I logged in. Thanks for all the kind words.
I enjoyed the stay at the Tx Bus Roundup. I decided to go home Saturday as I was afraid I'd have another encounter with the nice scorpion in the campground shower facility. Scorpion was nice enough not to sting me, but still gave me quite a start by crawling over my foot. Then there were the chigger bites, and the fire ant bites.....I was itching and had red splotches everywhere. All my life, I seemed to be some kind of bi-pedal bug magnet.
I need to do some welding work to the lower ribs and cross members on the Flxible Visicoach before I put the new holding tanks in. George Fields can help me with the fabrication work. As the shells of these old Flxis are all steel except for the roof skins between the front and rear curved caps, they almost always need some rust repair. Next after structural and skin repairs would be a repower. Although the old GMC 401 60 degree V6 gasser runs well, it's a bit slow up grades. I am considering at the very least, the medium duty version of the Cummins ISB with an Allison 2000  or 3060 automatic, or better yet an ISC with 3060. This setup, the ISC with 3060, has proven itself very well in Dave Lang's '57 Flx Starliner. It fits well in the engine compartment, and the original fan shroud that is so cool on those Clipper style Flxis can be used with minor modifications, so that the original cooling concept is still there. If you look carefully and squint a bit, a Flx Clipper/ Visi/ Starliner with the rear engine hatch open and that big fan staring out makes you realize that if you put a big vacumn hose and attachment on it, it looks like a gargantuan Electrolux streamlined canister vacumn! "Look! It's the Electroflx Vacumn-Bus!"  ( Did anyone mention I'm a little odd?) Hope to see you around sometime again, , Beste Wünsche Kenneth

Kenneth, welcome to the MAK board.  Dallas and I weren't able to make the rally but we understand we missed a great time.   On your statement "Did anyone mention I'm a little odd".  Everyone thinks all us busnuts are odd.  I know we are and are darned proud of it!!!   Again, welcome and continue putting your two cents worth in on any topic!  Cat

Kenneth,

Dave Lang does have a beautiful Starliner that simply takes your breath away when you step into it.

My only problem with it is the White interior.... it wouldn't stay white around me!  :o

One thing Dave mentioned to me... when he stuck the ISC and 3060 Allison in there he lost 1 1/2 mpg. He said it was worth it though cause now he doesn't have to make a career out of a 200 mile trip.

Welcome to our little piece of bus nut heaven!

Kenneth, welcome.  Sorry we didn't get to spend some time, I really wanted to see your Flxible - but we had to leave early too, because Phyllis got sick.  By the way, we're next door in Carrollton, if you find you want some help with the coach.

Kenneth,

Welcome to the MAK board!  It was nice meeting you at TBR 2007....I was parked a few spaces away in the white 1985 Eagle Model 10.  Good luck with your Flxible conversion.  Thanks for showing me your progress so far. Keep us updated with pics & postings! :)

Hey there Kenneth -

I'll echo the welcomes and also express that I'm sorry I missed the opportunity at the rally to see your coach more closely. Just trying to keep up with all the experts there was a full-time job.

Best of luck to you in your conversion process - BTW, I really enjoyed the photos of the Flxible Rally you showed, and it's so good to see in person one of the finest looking coaches ever, IMHO.
