Coops,

Distilled water for the final rad fill. after radiator test strips say that is needed.

Buy an infra red temperature sensor gun.  You need that for eval of tires and alignment and engine ex temps cooling...really handy.

What is the condition of your suspension?  Rolling lobes, bags, air beams or plated off ?

Is your drier working?

Does it hold pressure....not leak?

ohm meter to check if oil and water senders are bad or is it the sender?

Oil and water gauges for the engine compartment?

You will get a ton more from this board.

Thanks John,

Now you are talking my language, new tools.  I will let the wife know you told me I had to have an infra red sensor!
The air bags seem good, but the auto levelers leak a ton.  She drops all the way down in about 20min. I am not sure about the drier working.  I want to go throught the air system, but have put it on the back burner until I can get the engine issue figured out.
I would like to install a leveling system with the air bags.  Is that a good or bad idea?  I have seen conversations on both sides.  I am green, just tell me what to do and I will go at it!  But, it has to be cheap.  ;)
I have an ohm meter, but what should the sensors read?  I have the bus manual, but not finding the specs.  Still looking for a good source for sensors and gauges.

Welcome to Nutacy!

My opinion,  oil too thin, prolly sensers work since just got tested,

do your list as noted, search archives for the coolant anti-cavitation additive & test strips,.

I didn't see so i'll add, part of driving the old diesel is the computer in driver seat.  If making black smoke, lift up the right foot.  Once you see black smoke youre not making any more power, just more heat and passing unburnt fuel.  you have to watch the temp and the black smoke gauge in the mirror especially when hill climbing.

You can put catches on the slobber tubes to try and keep back of bus clean.  just make sure there vented and you drain them occasionally.
It's all fun and games til someone gets hurt. ;)
