Larryh,
This is my first opportunity to respond to you as of today I just learned how to use WY-Fy for my first time thanks to Dallas at their rally at BK's.  I will correct my statement that you can submit 4 photos total and all added up the photos have to be smaller than 128Kb.  I just went in to some of my photos and have seen that all my 640X480 photos resolutions are different even though the size is the same.  What I suggest is if you want to submit 4 photos, divide the allowed size of 128 X 4 and you can have each photo about 32kb in size to have 4 photos, I would suggest to make them 30 for safety sake as you know how this technology is if you play it too close to the allowable limits in anything!!!  I have no idea what the big deal is but you got to play by the rules.  Now if you want to submit 3 photo's then you can make the size of the photos larger but the same rules applies, only 128kb allowed.  I guess I was just lucky in the past and only submitted 2 or 3 photos and did not reach the maxium allowed.

Don't get discouraged, I am trying my hardest to encourage you to do this and not get frustrated like I have so many, many times.  Try follow my posted instructions and I will correct the second paragraph to be for 4 photos and not 3, thanks for catching that also.  But what I am asking you to do is try a couple of post with very little text, have it say only TEST and then submit 4 photos to see what happens.  Then go in your TEST post and see if your photos are there and they enlarge when clicked on.  You can request that the moderators delete this if you wish so the board will not be cluttered with test, but, if others want to try using your post as begining point and not fill up the board with the word test etc. then they can do it on the same post you made and also get their confidence in doing their photos on MAK.

Don't try to do fancy steps etc. and jump all around at first, KEEP IT SIMPLE, learn it the easiest way you can and then expirement with other ideas others submit but you will atleast know you can do it one way even if it is not as short as others can do it.  SIMPLE!!!!

I will look forward to seeing your post with 4 TEST photos in it and maybe many others under your post also but try to keep everything in one post if possible so moderators will not go nuts with this test stuff.

I hope you can reduce your photos you want to post in the program you have.  I am not that versed in knowing all different programs and how they all work.  My computer I now use is only 1 year old, the program I use in it came with my computer.
(1) What I only have to do is hi-light a photos I want to reduce, right lick and a menu comes up, it has a selection to reduce your photo in the menu.
(2) When you left click on this choice, you get another menu that has a choice to select the size you want to reduce.  The 640 X 480 is automatically selected as a default.  I still suggest you start here and accept that size.  When you click OK, it will reduce your photo.
(3) Move your mouse arrow over this reduced photo and you will see the properties underneath the photo, look for the photo KB size.
(4) Decide how many photos you want to submit on MAK, divide this number in 128kb allowed, then make sure if your photo is larger than this figure that you do not want to be larger than from your division of 128kb.
(5) If your photo is larger you have to go back and highligh this new reduced photo, right click it again and again select (Reduce Photo) size.  NOW, you have to go into a special selection on the bottom left hand side of the menu to select (ADVANCED) option at bottom of page.
(6) After selecting this (Advanced) feature, another addition will show on this menu, you now have an option to (Select Custom) size for your photo.  Start to reduce your photos sizes in steps to see how much they reduce your photo at one time.
(7) After you changed both the sizes of the photos say from (640 X 480) to (630 X 470) just to get an idea how much they reduce.  Then you can guess about how small you have to make them to reach your goal figure you divided and got for each picture size.   Remember, once you make them smaller, you cannot make them larger again without a lot of difficulty and I do not plan to get into that one.  Take your time, reduce a little at a time or submit fewer photos.
(8) Under this window you change your photos size in is two more little boxes you have to select to make this change work.  I know it is a crock a bull but you have to do it, just like we all do!!  Put a check mark in the box (Make Picture Smaller, not Larger) and also put a check mark in the box (Resize the original Picture-don't create a copy).  If you do not check off these two boxes, this re-sizing will not be accomplished, I promise you.
(9) Select OK by clicking and wa--la  your photos will reduce.
(10) Put your arrow over this photo and see the KB photos size.
Keep doing this till you get it right to submit 4 photos or how ever many you plan to submit.  If you only plan on 1 photo, the (640 X 480) will probably not be over the 128kb size, MAYBE!!.
(11) Submit your text first if it is lengthy like this one, or you lose it all if you do a preview with photos.  It can't be done, you cannot see the photos in a PREVIEW.
Good luck again, I will now go correct my original post to 4 photos.

By the way, most of this was suggested by Dallas in his post here also but it was not explained at kindergarden level like mine is so I hope you are not intimidated by my lengthy grade level of explanation but if it helps out is all I care about.  Wait till you see what I have planed here in the future for (Newbie Computer Users) that is intended for those seniors or the over the 50 year old group of busnuts that have a hard time grasping on simple things to do on the computer.  This will not interest those versed in computers and I will indicate when I do this so they will not get bored and more sick of my post then they already are now.  But maybe it will help those wanting to surf like some of us struggle to do.  Again, this will be in very near future, it will start at ground level, (Kindergarden Level) you might say but I assure you I will make it possible for you to orgainze your computer photos, letters and files so you can label them, find them when ever you wish.  This information I am going to document is many thanks to my good friend Dave Brawdy of Pullman, WA and now I feel confident to offer it to many wishing to have it.

Good luck again LarryH.

Gary you're the man. You have helped us all so many times.

I struggle sometimes too but I just smile and stumble along. I do not want to be a computer guru, just have some fun.

Thanks for taking this monstrous task on!
