You are absolutely right about the lines of the 4501. But I have this crazy thing about liking to stand upright! haha... My thought was to raise the entire roof 6-8 inches just above the line of the front side windows. Nothing too drastic. If done correctly, someone who didn't know probably wouldn't even notice

I've only seen one that kept the proportions right, and that one was stretched to 45 feet long. That bus had MASSIVE work done to it in order to make that happen. (Owned by Pat McNeil)

I can think of one advantage though if you did it all the way to the front. You could set it up to use 4104 windshields and rear glass. Finding curved glass for the 4501 is challenging, and expensive.

Just a silly question, but what are the original part numbers for the windshields and rear glass on a Scenic?

Dallas-
Rear glass = UNOBTANIUM
Upper windshields = PATMCNEIL
Lower windshields = PATMCNEIL & various other sources if your search is lucky

Michael, the quality of work I saw is truely impressive on Pat's bus. But, I'll have to disagree with you concerning the proportions. something about the window placement & the 5+ feet added to the lower section - just seems a little off to me. But MAN does his 8V92 sound good! Probably only one on the road that has been balanced & blueprinted.

Songman, lower the floors to get the interior height you need, you will still have more roon in the bays than NewbeeMC9 has in his

Oh, I'll admit it looks a little off, but if you didn't know, and there wasn't another right next to it, it would take you a bit to figure out what the difference was. OTOH, I saw a pic somewhere of a scenic that just had the raise dine, and it looked really out of proportion.

Rear glass? Heh, that stuff is true unobtainium. I'm still deciding what I want to do about mine. The large center panel was just covered with cheap plexi, but the two corner pieces are intact originals.

Cheap plexi sounds GOOD to me 

If I ever win the power ball, I'll have the rear glass made & all the front curved glass - in the 'proper' tint at that!

So you guys need to send me the winning ticket!
