Gary,

Do you think Kyle would consider this a parts bus?????

NO!

He will get that gleam in his eye and say "I could fix that"   ;D

1, where is it?
2. do you have contact info?
3. anything is resorable with money.....most of the futureliners were worse off than that

This would probably be the "grass roots model" to practice on so he can get the other 4 cruisers he has done right.

And at absolute worst, if it's not rebuildable, the parts are valuable to a few of us.

Just for the record, based solely on the picture, I'd consider that one a parts bus. One that should be stripped as completely as possible.

Location is of utmost importance here too!

But, Wow, what timing!

The county snuck in a law (several years ago) that is now causing me problems. The short version is that any one who has more than one vehicle that hasn't run in more that 30 days is running a junk yard & must comply with the rules governing junk yards.  :o

Some a$$ complained & now I have my hands full scrambling to keep the county from hauling them off for scrap & sending me a bill.  >:(

I don't have the time , money, or patience to fight big brother.

I need to find a developer that wants this land & just sell the damn dirt & relocate the orphanage to a friendlier location!

Oh man, that stinks, sorry to hear it Kyle, how about a 8ft. high wooden fence like my "Fort LaBombard" here in Piedmont, will that work and hide your buses from public.  It will be co$tly though, but I can stop what I am doing to help you put one up if we have to so that you get to keep your treasures.  Check it out if you can.

Lots of luck trying to find a friendlier community to go to, you need to have a place like good Ole Leroy has on the mountain for that now with Urban growth taking over.  I have 6 vehicles here on my 1 acre lot, all licensed and insured and taxes paid every year.  Of coarse I am broke as hell but no one can complain and I move them all without thinking at least once a month too except for the Eagle.  Dam termites probably getting into the frame by now from my wooden support blocks.

Let me know about fence, maybe a few of us can drive over to erect it for you and impress your neighbors with a few buses there that are licensed and legal to be there.

Junk cars must be 400 feet from the property line & my property is only 600 feet wide!

The nosey a$$ was trespassing to see them, but now that zoning has been made aware of it, I'm S.O.L. As they are the ones who enforce the laws.

Did you know they have high resolution photographs that they use to verify complaints? It ain't 1984, but ole George was right about some things!

The area is going residential & that piece of dirt looks good to developers. That 525 feet of water frontage has them foaming at the mouth. Maybe I'll put a for sale sign on the dirt & see if they are willing to pay 125% of high appraisal!

Is that thing in the North West somewhere? Look at the moss growing on the passenger windows. Not to mention the moss on the tree trunk.

This thing is in Humbolt county, California.  Don't remember exactly where.  just head out of Redding and go towards the coast.  If its still there it's pretty hard to miss.  Pic was taken about a year ago.

Just working on my Genealogy chart and the SA program told me there was never a county in Calif named Humbolt; looked it up and found it is HumbolDt. I know, so what?? Just struck me funny.

In Practice, they aren't.

Anyone need a new project?

Is this the one on HWY299 just west of Redding Ca?  If it is, I noticed
it about 6-8yrs ago.  The tree was not there yet.  The drive from
Redding to the coast, up to Oregon, and back to I-5 was so pretty
I had to do it twice within a couple of years. Wish diesel was not $3
dollars a gal, I would like to drive that again.
                              Thanks,  Merle.
