first run of the season completed

Just got back last night from a couple of days run.  This is the first one for the season with what I've gotten done so far with the new interior.it was only 150 miles each way to a park to meet up for a family event but went perfectly, bus ran flawlessly and traffic was light, felt so good lol.  I wanted to know if the new foam insulation in the walls and floor would make a difference as far as quiet and it was major, just a quiet rumble from the DD and no squeaks or rattles from the new cabinetry, very enjoyable cruise.  Now I've got the bug  to burn up as much fuel as I can lol, but have to do some more on the interior to take it thru the next projects, wife really liked the new 4 burner stove but didn't like the fact that the shower isn't hooked up yet, she made a long list of improvements, luckily I wasn't on the list for replacement lol.

Just tell yer wife that you have to take another trip first to determine if the shower will operate while under way before you can hook it up!

Great News Cody!  Don't worry about the shower...it will get done when it's necessary.  Safety and comfort trump some of the more mundane items.

lol, I'm already 3 years into the 10 year plan.  The shower is on the list but not exactly at the top, I'm concerned with the "critical to life" things first like the bar and surround sound system.  It's always fun to hit the road for the first time after a long winter tho, now for the next step in the projects lol.

LOL ... that's the way to think Cody, but timing is everthing. I install all the boxes in HER kitchen then whet out and bought a 42 plasma with surround sound before I got HER kitchen finished, no doors or shelves. I had the flat screen mounted and the surround hookup, testing it out with a DVD (Lord of the Rings) just cranked, and the wife comes flying out of the house and into the bus wondering what all the noise was ... it was LOUD. She opens the door to the bus and looks up at all the new toys, then gives me "the look" ...well to make a long story short the kitchen was finished by the next weekend. "Happy wife, Happy life"

lol I've seen that look before, a lot of my time is spent working on improvements in the bus but i never could figure out why it takes 3 days to get ready to do a 15 minute job.  Actually she has been great about the projects, I have her full support because she likes the bus and traveling as much if not more than I do, so I guess I'm lucky in that respect.
