Yep, it's finally here! Some of you already know about it and wanted me to post it when it will be on, so here it is. Monday June 11th 6:00 pm on "Look What I Did!".  Link-> http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/shows_hlwid/episode/0,2756,HGTV_24156_47066,00.html
Sorry, my "baby" won't be on there. I still hadn't bought her when they shot it a year ago memorial day. As a matter of fact, I have no REAL idea of what they have in store except they made it look like I was building the vines around my spiral staircase. I imagine they will show other aspects of my house as well.
And of course, I'm sure I'll look like a geek as well.  :P It took about 10 hours to film what you see and they were tickled that it didn't take so long!!!!!!!!!!!! Man!!
Ok, well, ya all know about it now. If you like what you see on the show, you are welcome to come by anytime and see my house. It really is a great setup and takes care of itself. Cheap to build, ULTRA safe, cheap to keep and a great home base to come home to after a long stint in the bus. Ya just have to have someone mow your roof.................... or not!  ;)
Oh yeah, ya might wait a little bit before you come by.............. at least till the embarrassment subsides!  ::)  (I don't even like cameras!)

I can't wait to see it Chaz.  I just wish they were featuring your bus as well.  But I'll wait for that on another show.  May be shown on "What were they thinking?"  or something like that... ;D

Gumpy, I am hoping I can get a CD also. I have no idea how to burn one from TiVo. And they won't even send me a copy!!!!! Kind of a bummer, but I knew it going in.

I like that!!!!!!!!!!!!  And, really, HGTV doesn't do all the filming themselves. Actually, not by a long stretch. I THINK (but not sure) that all the programs are thought up and done by independents and then sold to HGTV. Anyboby here good with a camera????;D We could do a show that's a cross between American Chopper (I can't stand Paul Sr. tho) and "Decorating with Cents" or whatever it's called!!  LOLOL  ;D
  Go for it Brojcol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See ya in the funny papers,

CHAZ:

Man, your house is AWESOME!  You are a true artist.  I rushed home to catch your segment.  My wife was also summarily impressed!  Hey, a house that doesn't need painting or a new roof every seven years!

Great job and you are a credit to the MAK board!

That stair case is you built has to be a one of a kind too.. Nice metal work on the leaves!

So tell me, Where do you park your bus? Under the waterfall?? ?? LOL

The best to ya Chaz....Pat yourself on the back for me!

Thanx folks.
I think it turned out pretty good. Of course, I see things differently than others because I built it and live here. But it all looked pretty good.
I don't know about it getting replayed. But if I hear, I will let ya know.

Chaz,

First, sorry for the late reply.

Saw your piece on HGTV on Friday, or should I say the DVR.

I set it to record and then couldn't find it on the house DVR.

Then I was looking at some stuff at work and there it was.

Really COOL house and I thought they did a nice presentation.

I would have guessed you were in the SouthWest.

As someone who designed and built there own house I appreciate your hard work.

And all the attention to detail.  Very nice.

I went a more traditional route though.  :P  LOL   But not next time!
