Anybody know the # for the MCI headlights? Bright and dim or inside and outside. I'm gonna get an outside bulb to get me through the next few weeks but then I'm converting to 12 volt.

I've got a full set of round take-offs.  Where are you located?  They are here in N.C.  Pay the postage and I'll send them to you.  Call me at 2-5-2-5-6-6-9-8-1-0-  after 5 PM est.

Ron, have you checked the numbers on your headlights?  I forget what year coach you have, but most MC9s have 12V headlights...even though the bus is 24V.
They operate in series when everything's working correctly, and have a backup 12V (center tapped off the rear battery) for 12V feed if one light burns out.
I'd convert my headlights to dedicated 12V in a skinny minute if the 24V system causes problems.    Just like a truck.  '
If you have 24V bulbs...maybe now is a good time to toss in 12V bulbs and a good quality headlight relay.  Some of the 24V system could be used to control the headlights so that the dash doesn't have to be rewired.

JR,
His is definitly got 24V headlights, and some screwed up wiring to boot! Back in October when the West TN Bus Bash flopped, Ron was here. And he had some lights out, an Ross, Ron, Dad, an I spent a good bit of time tracing and fixing what could be fixed in short order. As Ron had to hit the rd to get to a show, we fixed what we could and repatched what we could in short time. He ordered some 24V bulbs and arranged to pick the up from the "New" Lebonan, TN MCI Service Center, and was gonna make do until he had time to redo it right. Well it sounds/looks as though, the time has come do something about it! Good luck with the project Ron! Holler if ya need any advice. BK  ;D
