Hello Everyone,

I am looking at a bus on ebay.  It is in Williamsport, Pa.  Is there anyone who can take a look at the bus for me?  I have the contact info for the owner.  I would be happy to compensate you for your time and effort.  There are three days left on the auction so it would have to be fairly soon.  My e-mail info is in my profile or you can contact me by telephone at seven oh three  eight six nine six three nine four

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Have you heard from anyone on this yet?

Enquiring minds want to know!  :D

No Dallas, no responses.
At this point is it OBE anyway.
Thanks,

Frank

It is an old military term.  When you request an action or information and the delay in the response allows the original need to change to the point where the action or information is useless, then it has been Overcome By Events.

In example, I wished to get additional information before buying the bus, the bus has been sold already, so any information received at this point will be of no value to me.

Hence O B E

To clarify, I did receive an offer of help since I answered Dallas' question.  I would like to thank the board member who offered I appreciate the effort.

But I hesitated and the bus sold so once again I am looking.....

Thanks,

Frank

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

Frank: Just curious but what for bus was it, I may know who or what it was, not that it really matter now.

Hi yo silver

Frank,
I'm lookin' too.  If you will let me know what you're looking for, perhaps I can share my experience and let you know if I see something that might interest you.

Busnut, it was a 1979 MCI MC-5c on ebay.  Since the sale is past I believe it would be okay to post the link. If not one of the mods will remove it for me :)

It was a nice looking bus but the big draw was all the spare parts, what a deal. I  was just a little too slow (ironic eh) and lost out.  Thanks for the offers of help , I appreciate it.
