trying to fix temp gauge!

My Model 10 eagle has never had the temp gauge work, and it drives me crazy.Is there a way to test the dash gauge and the sending unit in the back? Thanks clan!

To test the gauge, have someone sit in the drivers seat and watch the gauge.  Then ground out the wire at the sending unit (with the ignition on) and the gauge should go to full hot.  If not, maybe wiring or the gauge.  If it does go to full hot, then you have a bad sending unit.  Good Luck, TomC
