I want to make a special thank you to MAK for years of supporting our great hobby.

I have subscribed to Bus Conversions since 1993.  I have been to all but one of MAK's rallies (missed Biloxi).  We were vendors at the last two of his rallies at the Caverns.  I attended one of his great bus conversion work shops.  We even published a couple of articles over the years in the magazine.

I have seen the good times and the "lean" times.

I have to say that the last few of the issues have been among the best he has published.  They are really MUST READ publications for those starting the "venture" and great reading for those of us who have our conversions completed (they never are :D).  In my case, our bus is at the totally functional level, but far from the "pretty" level :-\.

I often stop and wonder if I could have done a bus conversion (truck conversion before that) without the boards and magazine.  Maybe.  But I guarantee you that my projects are far superior in technology and much SAFER as a result of MAK (and his great folks).

When you have the best experts in the field (Myers, Smead, and Galey) all in the same issues, it does not get any better!

Thanks MAK for a great publication and this super board!

Jim,
I second your thanks!  Although I have only been a subscriber since 2002, I did attend one of his workshops.  This board has been invaluable in researching, thinking and designing.  I probably never would hve taken this on had it not been for these resources, and I definitley would not have the product I have today with them.

I agree that the last several months, the magazine has seen a large uptick in usefulness.  I was starting to get tired of the magazine, but it has made a major leap forward.

Mike, thanks again for a great job!

Hi yo silver

You're so right.  I will not be building my own conversion, rather, I'll be buying one that someone has been enjoying for a few years.  But, I wouldn't even be brave enough to do that without the  sharing of information in "Bus Conversions" magazine  and and on this board...it's priceless.  I can't wait to start our adventure.  I'm going to feel very smug.  How do you guys who build your own find a hat to fit your heads???

I have to add in here, and say thanks to MAK and also to all who post their knowledge and wisdom here.   I am new to the game since Jan., and having no previous experience with buses and conversions prior to my recent purchase, I'm not sure I would have made the purchase without this knowledge base of information.   Much of what is shared here (questions & answers) in minutes would take days, weeks and months to find much less learn on one's own.   Two thumbs up, and a cold one for whoever makes it to Nashville.

Thanks MAK and to all your helpers (moderators).

Great to come here to ask questons on doing something than to do something and then go OOPS!

Hey somewhere along the way I lost my "Newbie" status.  Not sure that means much - still find myself doing dumb things sometimes. ::)

Thank you all for the words of support... but it's really not me, it's Phil Lyons and his gang that keep the board going, it's Dennis who keeps the magazine going, it's all the readers and advertisers that keep paying to have it printed each month. It's to all of you that send in the material to be printed. All I do is try to keep my wife and four kids happy by giving them my time, while you folks out there do all the work that I should be doing. When I started the magazine, I had been married a few short years and had no kids, and lots of time to do the work, things have changed. When my kids are grown and moved on, I will have more time to jump back in. But until then, my hats off to all those that keep it going, thank you!
