Ed Skiba (ednj) is broken down with no air compressor in PA on I78 at exit 35.  If anyone is in the area and can help out, I know he would appreciate it.  His cell phone number is 908-303-9836.  If you can help or know someone who can, please give him a call.

Thanks....Ross

Spoke to Ed and he has no tools along ... makes repairs kind of hard.  He thinks the govenor is the problem.  Anyone in the area who can go to him with a tool box?

Hay, Ed has help on the way..

His  air compressor went south and a tow truck is in route to bring him to Bernhardts Bus repair.

They told him they would get him done today.

I touched base with Ed a few minutes ago  [9:30 am Friday]. He is at Bernie's right now and they seem to have things under control.

Ross - thanks for posting. Thanks to everyone who called!! It's good to know that so many people are willing to help out. I took all the tools out because I have a back injury I'm recovering from and couldn't use them anyway. By the way - the compressor was shot - it appears that the bus compressor is different from a truck compressor - a bus compressor is horizontal and a truck compressor is vertical. Anyhow, Uncle Bernie (Bernhard bus) took real good care of us. Bill, one of his workers, got started on it the moment he came in on Friday (we got there too late on Thursday night.) Even with their hectic schedule, they didn't stop until it was completed and we were out of there. By the way, Luke, thanks for calling our tow insurance company and recommending Bernhardt's bus co. John Cherry from Evolution Custom Coach was the tow man. He sure knew what he was doing and did a great job. We spent the night at Camp Bernie's amongst all the Scenic Cruisers with 60s series engines. Wow - those guys really do some nice custom work. There were a lot of overpowered antique buses! We got going on Friday early afternoon and had a great weekend anyway in the snow!! Thanks again to all who called and were so willing to help a fellow bus nut. First thing I did when I got home was put the tool box back in!!!
