Electric? Could see a bike. Cruise around the Camp Grounds. Car,,No. Heck it's over 900 miles across Texas from Orange to El Paso. Take you 3 0r 4 charges if running the AC or Heater to make it across. Cliff, Harley makes a Electric Motor Scooter. "Livewire". 150 miles on a charge. Takes 11 hours to charge the thing for 150 miles range.

EWAN MCGREGOR & CHARLEY BOORMAN Rode a couple of Harley Davidson Livewires from the tip of South America to Los Angeles 13,000 miles, the bikes actually ran quite good, took a bit of preplanning to make sure they had charging stations spaced out along the way.

What Chessie said.
I hate towing a car. We have rented a car a few times if staying somewhere for a while.

I planned to fold down the handle bars and stuff it in the belly of the bus. Then I remembered I am not Chessie. I only have one belly bay that does not already have things built into it. So I put it on a rack on the back of the bus. It is street legal with a plate so I can get parts if needed. But mostly, just get the laundry at the campground laundromat or ice cream for the Rita.

I'm seriously considering not having a car with me when I'm using the bus.   As a life-long cyclist I'm not intimidated by riding a bike to do errands, and I'm going to build a foldable trailer for larger items that I can pull behind my bikes.   When my bus is completed (are bus conversions ever complete?) I'll have space inside for four of my bikes and the folding trailer, then as long as I'm within ten or so miles from stores etc I'll ride a bike instead of needing a toad.   Another reason for doing this is because my car cannot be flat-towed at all, and I don't want to faff about with a car trailer.   Besides, I like riding:  it's fun, it keeps me fit and healthy, and it's cheap!

I have a Jeep Liberty as a toad, but since I like to ride cycles--- I now have a baby Ranger too!
My thought is that I can get the new 2022 CB500X in the back of the ranger and have several options.
The mountain bike is nice for campgrounds but takes up way too much room in a bay, so it may go in the Ranger too.

I just can't imagine hauling much of anything in the rain on an e-bike!

Lot of folks enjoy riding and peddling, Sonja is one of those she has always love to ride a bike lol me I prefer starter button, I do ride with her sometimes if she makes a short run like a couple of miles. Now people that push E bikes and EV cars for environmental reasons that drive a bus with the most polluting engine ever built (DD 2 Stroke) those I do not understand.

The Mack Thermodyne wasn't a bad engine for pollution.it had a turbo and for 195 hp those were working little devils with the triplex transmission. Tenneco had 4-B-61's under lowboy's I loved it when I got a chance to drive one when the driver was MIA.2 strokes are bad because they fire every revolution.

It will be a long time before old DINO is laid to rest.,when the DOE takes the restrictions off of the BIO % you will see 50% bio diesel, the newer engines are already to accept the 50+% bio mix, some European countries are running 80 to 100% now .In this great nation it all revolves around politics takes years for something to happen that most countries can do in weeks. We do some dumb things here, they have 5 hydro dams on the addenda to come down. They are going to need something to replace the lost power on the already overloaded grid with what?. The current bushes here in the desert are not much help
