e-Bike instead of Toad?

I just recently added a Mid Drive Electric Motor to my old Mountain Bike.

I have always carried this bike in the bay to run around the campgrounds on.

I used a Bafang BBS02 750W with a 48V 13ah Battery.

The installation kit was very complete and even included some of the specialty tools used in the installation.

Took me about 2 hours to complete the install.

I am quite happy with the result, although there is a mode to just use the throttle, I really like the pedal assist mode.

I can easily do 25 to 30 mph on it, but am much happier at 5 to 15 mph, going up hills is a breeze, I have done rides of up to 20 miles and the battery indicator barely moved off full.

Where I might have taken the Toad to the store or the ranger station before I am now riding the bike, even though it is electric you are still pedaling and get exercise, the difference is, if you get worn out you can just push the throttle and go.

There are pedal assist levels from 0 thru 9, 0 is no assist and 9 is doing 20 mph barely pedaling, I mostly use levels 2 or 3.

The off road part of the Mtn Bike is also great, I can climb hills and cover ground I never would have before, makes this overweight, old man feel great riding like that.

I just need to get the wife riding one of these and we could leave the Toad home.

Plenty Cool. Bought 2 Folding Zizzo Campo Bikes a few months ago to put under camper, haven't even taken them out of the box and changed my mind on them. Have both for sale here on the sale forum but might rethink the deal if a motor will mount up to them.

Do they have a twist grip throttle?
I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

The throttle is a thumb lever next to the right side handle grip.
The shifter on my bike for the 7 rear gears is a twist shift also on the right grip.

There is a twist throttle available, I've only used the throttle once or twice, the pedal assist is enough go for me.

Don't see any reason why a BBS02 kit would not mount right on them.

Electric? Could see a bike. Cruise around the Camp Grounds. Car,,No. Heck it's over 900 miles across Texas from Orange to El Paso. Take you 3 0r 4 charges if running the AC or Heater to make it across. Cliff, Harley makes a Electric Motor Scooter. "Livewire". 150 miles on a charge. Takes 11 hours to charge the thing for 150 miles range.

You need a towed, and folding bicycles. 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Great for errands, exploring off road, and will go 70 mph on the freeway. Bicycles for closer exploring and exercise.
