I'll stand in front of the bus, hold it up, unroll it a bit, and practice...
"Hear YE, Hear YE: A Message from the Kingdom! The Pre start checklist will now commence!".
And the people will rejoice!!!

I won't put the checklist on my phone. There are three of what used to be my phones in the lake. Fortunately two of them were just flip phones. I took care of docks on the lake for 6 years. Occupational hazard. I think the 3G phone is near the video camera Rita dropped in 40 feet of water after we filmed the Nephews water skiing.

I have friends that have flushed them, run over them. Phones are not forever.

I like my little 5 by 7 notebook. It stays in the bus until my walk around. Pre start and start on one page. Shut down on another. Filled with notes on fuel, phone numbers of guys that can save me. Notes on Nappanee, the refrigerator guys in Shipshewana. All kinds of good things. I'd rather lose my phone again than that book.
Works for me.

Phones still work even after you run over one with the rear tires on a bus: the screen is a little hard to see

Oh, and here I was thinking those three phones in the lake were due to frustration... "Take THAT you stinkin' Phone! Tell me how that works for you!" Yeah, I could get behind that sentiment.

Anyway what I hear is you use helium so your phone is in the clouds and nothing gets lost. Not sure how that works though. Maybe has something to do with religion? Maybe one of those Eastern ones where they do levitation.

So Dan, maybe there's a way to add checkboxes? That way you could maybe keep from backtracking too much.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! I actually kinda like that.  :D HYHY! Get out from infronta my bus!

I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

I gotta admit I'm not methodical in performing pre-trip check list, well to be more honest - we just don't do it except of coarse for the basics. After 44 years of same bus ownership it's like it's part of me (us) & beleive me the wife is totally connected with it also. I can say this with further confidence being the sole mechanic & maintainer to the bus. I'm not telepathic just really familiar with everything & it's condition. I'm also not the guy who replaces things just to have new. We just know it like the back of our hand and slip into it like a glove but don't do much dusting with the very reliable turtle.  :^
