I have a bunch of the Lumax hand pump type grease guns in the shop and bought a DeWalt cordless for use at the RimRock place,I sent the DeWalt back because the thing leaked so bad around the rod,I wanted a Alemite but not for $500.00 so I found the Lumax for $150.00 it has good revues. Any of you guys have the Lumax ? I ordered 1 and can send it back, their hand pump guns last for ever, feed back good or bad fire away only draw back I see is it 12v and will only do 5 tubes on a charge but that is not a problem for me I never use 5 tubes anyways

All the 20v Ion grease guns are heavy and bulky ,the DeWalt I sent back weighed 10 lbs and was about 6 inches tall,I still don't understand the need for a 2-speed grease gun either

the guys laying grease on a fifth wheel will want a faster speed?

And the marketers... if one has single speed, and another has 2 speed... you know which gets purchased by the microteste crowd...

I am not crazy about 10,000 psi on a fitting either, a friend of mine in the 60's was killed by a grease zerk that blew out .If it takes 10,000 psi something is wrong

Don't know  about the grease gun. My concern is about the battery.  I have grease gun that has been fine for me but the batteries are going bad and I can't  find a replacement.  Can't rember the brand and It is still to cool to walk to the shop.

I looked at 1 at TS and guy who had one told me not to buy because you could not find batteries for it,I got a extra battery for the Lumax in the deal

I have one of the early 12V Lincoln that I have put tons of tubes of grease threw here on the farm and it's held up well. I had a 18V Dewalt at work for about five years before I took early retirement and it held up well. I didn't like it as well as my old Lincoln but you use what they buy. I have buddy with a big farming operation and a fair amount of help and he swears by the Milwaukee brand of battery powered grease guns.

I have a pneumatic Lincoln one with a 16 gallon drum of grease. Long hose and will never need to buy more grease for it. Got a couple hand held ones for other misc. work.

I have old Lincoln hand pump extra-large you load from a pail, I had a pump to load it with but it gave up.Sometimes I wonder who in the world invented grease in a tube those tubes are expensive for no more grease you get in one ,nowadays most people don't know how to bulk load a grease gun

I use the milwaukee m18 grease gun with the lumax LX-1403 tip and they work right every time with zero waste of grease + the grease tubes are always empty when I put in a new one
I had two of the shitty locklube tips on it and they both were crap and would oze grease everywhere . never buy them again

yes it is big and has 2 speeds but when putting the excavator tracks back on it is nice to use the high speed to tighten the tracks rather than 50- 60 pumps with a hand pump gun

amazon .ca is a lot more $$$$$ then amazon.com

I only want the cordless grease gun to tighten the tracks on my 955 L Cat loader that hand pumping gets old in a hurry,I use my Lincoln pneumatic for every thing else ,The smart SOB that designed drive grease zerks on the new JD tractors and implements   stuff should be shot it has to be the dumbest thing to do to save a few dollars,a new tractor and I had to change 2 grease zerts in 12 hours of use lol JD does not cover grease zerts under warranty

My hobby budget invested in a pnuematic Lincoln, cuz we all know what happens to greasing if one's hands get tired pumping...

For now, that'll have to do.

Sledhead, does that new locker take up any less room than the other? I have the other, no trouble yet, but i have a few fittings across the various pieces of equipment, that it is too long to engage.

Happy coaching!

Nothing wrong with the pneumatic Lincoln gun I been using one since the moon was the size of a golf ball

the problem I had with the locklube was because of the o ring inside it kept leaking and not go into the grease nipple . I rebuilt both of the ones I had and they only lasted a short time

with the lumax Lx-1430 always works and never loose any grease at the nipple

it is the same size or smaller then the locknlube but you need room to move the leaver to lock and unlock on the nipple

when I am in my shop I use a pneumatic grease gun with the Lumax tip as well
