My generator is on a power slide up front and every day I have to slide the generator out remove a cover to check the oil.
I want a remote gauge to read the oil level not a low oil sensor but a gauge like used in aircraft. You guys use one or know where I can buy one,  my skills searching on the internet is not all that good.
I can find plenty of remote  tank gauges.LOL I need 1 more electronic gadget on my RV

One option would be to run a tube to the outside and put a dipstick in it. I'd avoid doing it with rigid pipe unless you can securely clamp it to the engine, vibration will crack it eventually otherwise. Mild steel tubing with a clamp near the end is probably better. The tube has to enter the crankcase below the low oil level and can then slope gradually upwards but has to still be below the low oil level where the dipstick goes in.

I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

thanks but I really don't want to do that,I what a system like on your B500 and my 4060 Allison where you can check the oil level without a dip stick, you can check it from the drivers seat just use the dip to check the gauge every now and then.I know they make one but I cannot find one

When you start driving the bus the mode button is a nice feature,I don't run mine in the economy mode in the mountains and hills because the transmission will not down shift till the engine reaches almost full torque and it uses more fuel in the hills on flat ground it will change the transmission to shift at lower rpms saving fuel make any sense  8)

Veering off topic, but my understanding is that Allison wants you to use the electronic oil level instead of the dipstick to check the fluid level on a World Series transmission.  (B500 for most of us.)

That's true only if you have that sensor and circuit installed,, I have found many Allison's that do not have it,, mine included.. I'm stuck with the old school dipstick..>>>Dan

Couldn't you take and retrofit one of the online kits into the dipstick to read it on a remote guage? Then check the analog dinosaur dipstick at intervals to be certain of its accuracy...

I think all the B500 and the 4060 have that option I seen the 4000MH that didn't,my sons 4000 MH Allison has it, the other one he had didn't
