you know, definitely is intensely disliked, but it is nice not to smell diesel exhaust. But in recent mode, it smells disgusting. I can even notice it going down the road when it happens in the truck.

John, I was just out there visiting my son, dip, and grandson in Vancouver(salmon Creek) Washington about 1-1/2 weeks ago.  I was also surprised to see that big camp right on the riverbank near the airport.

Hopefully you weren't there when it hit 112 degrees a couple of weeks ago!

I am hoping to make it out there with my bus in about 2 years— but it is harder to make long trips by myself while still working full time.

Back here in PA it seems like we are living in a rainforest!

Yeah, we were in 112° a couple of times, but many 106° days and 1 1/2 months of temps over 100 out here. In Missoula Mt. today with temp in mid 70's. Mostly same in Wa. , and Or. near ocean. Still little to no rain for 2 1/2 months

We bought our house in Nampa, Idaho in September and it has gone up by 35%! There are many grape, apple and other fruit trees outside the city limits. But the house building is unbelievable. Avimor just north of Boise on 55 is alone OK'd to build a total of 6,000 houses!
We're enlarging our RV garage from 38ft long by 13ft high to 48ft long by 16ft high and we started the process in November. They will be pouring the floor extension Friday. Then building the wall extension, then reinstalling the roof. Good Luck, TomC

There is a guy on youtube that make a video a week about how Californians need to move back to their own state because they don't want them in Idaho.
They have made their taxes go up and complain about the elk and animals on their land. LOL you would think they would be happy that their prices also went up and they could make a lot of money. This guy is a real Estate agent too, LOL

These aholes move somewhere else and immediately start trying to change everything to satisfy their personal interests. That's why those west coast states are screwed up. Their standards ended up screwing up those states, so instead of fixing the problems, just move to a new area and start the same crap all over. At this rate, flush Idaho down the hopper too.

I too respect everyone choice to choose but it got real tough when I & our younger (32 yo) son got covid the same time. He's a strong young man, marine now fire fighter EMT first responder. I more or less breezed through the covid, it wasn't fun but just like a bad flu - our son coughed so hard he damn near threw his spine out then contracted pneumonia which he is under medication now for. I'm fully vaxed he is not. It hurt us bad to see what he's going through but that is his choice. We'll (wifey & I) be in line for a booster when it's offered just like the flu vaccines we get every year. Times are a changing and hope normalcy will return somewhat but at the very worst - hope it (normalcy) won't dissapear completely...carry on.

The Idaho home market will hit bottom before long, this happens all the time in Idaho because there are hardy any manufacturing jobs in Idaho. Hewlett/Packard is pretty much gone from Boise.
Micron is still here and Amazon built a center that is supposed to employ 2000 but locals don't see that happening.
The job force in Idaho depends on construction and wood products and Boise Cascade has shipped all the saw mills to Brazil,
LOL locals do not like Californians and people from Washington State.Sad to see Boise the way it is now when we lived here Boise had 110,000 population now Meridian alone has that many people, there wasn't even a shopping mall in Boise till late in the 80's

We spent the day at Givens Hot Spring it is still has space but subdivisions are closing in on it too
