Do they come in every day to make your bed and clean your toilet? LOL. We just paid $23/night for no hook ups, or 27 for electric in Kitimat BC for a week of salmon fishing. Free fire wood too.

Our county parks with 30 amps and water are $40 per day with a 2 day min/14 day max.  They do provide pay showers and real (free) toilets.  Sites with water only are $27 per day, 2 day min 14 max.  Jack

I just spent 8 nights at a nice private campground with electric and 30-amp for only $40/night. State park for $500??? Did they sell the concession to a private company and not put any limits on it?

I have 50 amp service but it so cool here you don't need 50 amp to run 3 AC units,It is a very nice campground more of a resort without the pool and huge spaces with patios and on the lake .Richard it is ran by state employees, speaking with other people here, the Idaho State parks receive no State of Idaho funding could be why it cost so much ,they manage their own funding.Over 70 bucks a night to me is a little steep though, the park is full though

Clifford we are paying 13.80 a day with electric is what ours avg's out to. We pay $275.00 per month plus electric at about 120.00 a month and that is running both AC's 60% of the time on the river within walking distance. We have a 30 x 60 lawn I mow once a week with neighbors electric mower for free. We have our own mail box full hookups 50 amp plus an extra 30 amp and 15 amp on the same pedestal. Our water hose is insulated and if it gets that cold in the winter just plug it in. It is in Missouri. We may be here for 3 to 5 months. Dirt and gravel roads a lot of grass and tent spots right on the river as well as water electric sites right next to the river. Kayack and tube, raft trips 4 days a week and fishing is good as well as bow fishing at night if you can stand the Mosquitoes.

I never heard of State parks being self funded before, the people of Idaho dance to different drummers though they always have a local said they don't mind the prices because there are so many free camping areas you do not pay for.,I have life time hunting and fishing license here I got in the 80's and plan on using those to day
