The pressure regulator for the parking brake is not going to do anything for the service brake performance.

Is that what you mean by 65 lb valve?

Not sure what you mean by 85 lb valve for an mc7?

Check under the driver, with an assistant flexing the brake pedal, that the linkage between the foot treadle and the actual treadle valve is not flexing due to age/rust/deteriarated structure, and is fully acting on the treadle valve.

Happy coaching!

Not the foot treadle I was talking about the E-8 or maybe his is an E-14 rely valve in the rear. Looks like a spaceship on the back of the bulkhead in the wheel well. across from the inversion valve.

Relays are usually marked with R,you need to match the crack pressure when replacing those it will vary from 0 to 4 psi,the 1/4 inch line is the control that sends the pressure to the brakes through the relay

yep I'm lost also. Ok the Rear break relay valve, I read in the maintenance manual should have a crack pressure ? of 0 to 4 PSI, you think I can find that sentence now? so I bought a new one. The 85 psi valve is a pressure regulator coming from the front push-pull control valve in line with the inversion valve. Cliff you mentioned on June 20th about the relays having a cracking pressure of 4 psi. After today just about everything on the breaking system will have been replaced. The front and tag break chambers have not been replaced nor has the foot valve,  but they are working like they should.

ED who adjusted the brakes ? the reason I ask is because I adjusted the brakes on a MCI Monday a guy did from a utube   video and they had adjusted the brakes wrong by turning the slack adjuster bolt in the wrong direction.A easy to tell if the rod starts to extend from the chambers you are going the wrong direction that rod does not move when adjusting the brakes only the s/cam moves it was a simple fix on his and I hope yours is too

Thanks Cliff he knows how to adjust the brakes, but good question. He worked on trash trucks for a few years that had the same brakes I have. I will know in a few hours, he is on his way over, how they are going to work.
Thanks
