Selling my Trek the buyer want a inspection cost me 800 smackers for a idiot not paying attention he says he is from NRVIA I thought it was a unit of RVIA wrong it is National RV Inspector Association,Long story short he and I got cross ways on me taking the RV to a dealer he knew to have my frame mounted ASME propane tank remove tested and re certified. Things went from bad to worse and he wrote a report that the RV had been smoked in heavy BS a match has never been lite in it,lol the kicker the rubber roof has damage no rubber roof on the thing,said he could not find a date on tires.Anyway watch the outfit in Vegas if you do need a inspection by the way the buyer went ahead with the deal after the RV dealer sent her a letter with a true inspection lol another 500 bucks that is my vent for today

No surprise. I've had the same sort of experience with both house inspectors and termite inspectors. Six hours of sales training and everyone is an expert inspector

. I don't blame buyers wanting an inspection so I don't know what the answer is.

Probably the best answer for the buyer rather than being beware, become aware by doing a little home study. Nah, why not just have a "use by date" applied by the mfg like we do on a loaf of bread. Jack

screw that! They want an inspection, they pay for it. Then the results are to negotiate over and dicker over things that need attention.
Btw, an ozone generator works great at removing odors, if any from vehicles. I bought one off ebay and it works great. Previous owners, wife must have spilled some perfume in ours. It was removed.I also used it to freshen the interior of a car that had a musty smell from sitting a few years in the woods.

It had no odor he was looking at where the AC roof top vents where it was blowing on the roof fabric .if the guy would called first he would have came after the detail work was finished, the RV has never been smoked in period a cleaning out fit tested it for me.The deal was she paid for testing if it passed and I paid for it if it failed and was ok with the deal,She checked around at some large RV dealers and found out once they get your info 95 % of the time the RV will fail and you have their info to call for the second inspection it a scam. They check nothing on the chassis and drive train he took pictures is all he done he never even started the RV and called it a level 2 inspection I bet level 1 is a real joke .One large dealer in Texas she spoke with told her those inspectors are not allowed on the lot he had rather miss a sale
