Personal message message notifications

I received a personal message about a week ago.  I did not receive an email telling me about it like I remember receiving the last time.  I also suspect the person I replied to is not aware that they received a message from me.

I have the setting "Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email." checked.

Is anyone else receiving board email notifications?  Do I have to do something to turn these emails back on?
