I've lost 1/2 of my shop manual for my 4106. Does anyone have a original manual they are willing to part with. I don't like the copies with the pictures you can't make out. I've had mine since 93 and its been well used now I have lost the part I need. It was only one book but had broken in 1/2 over the years.  Anybody????   >:(

I have a very good copy of the manual as well as the supplement book. As you know it is large and I can have it copied if you want or can't get another copy. It isn't cheap to copy but I will do it for you if you want. I also have the CD I had my copy made from with the supplement manual as well. There is no wiring on the CD only the printed copy. I assume you have the original wiring diagrams.

Bill, I'm not very computer savvy so is there any way to send the cd to my computer. Maybe someone can explain how to do it in simple terms.  olebusman

I tried to call your cell phone but no answer. I can't send to an email as the file is way too large. I can mail it to you if you want. It can be printed off at any print shop. There is no wiring diagrams with it. Call me at 905-873-8929.

If you guys both use a cloud service like One Drive or Google Drive you can transfer the file that way. One guy uploads it and then shares the file with the other, who logs in and downloads it. Best way to send very large files.

Remember you are talking to a couple of old guys that are not computer wizzes. The easiest way is the old fashioned mail for us.

Ok - I get the old guy thing but let's get real. How hard is it to use One Drive or Google Drive? It's really no more difficult than moving a file from one folder on your PC to another.

If you can't figure it out, call your grandkids and have them show you. It's not that tough. If you can understand the brakes on a bus or rewire an entire bus you can certainly handle transferring a file from one PC to another.

Okay Richard. You shamed me. I will get my son to control my computer and send it for me.

olebusman

Damn, I hope I can figure out how to get it

olebusman

Bill, I tried to call but I guess I can't call out of the country.

For some reason I can't call your cell phone. I have no problem calling anyone else in the USA and I believe I have called you before. cell 352 ---7762 ? It says your home phone is disconnected. 352---9731 I need your email address to try to send the file.

Richard, mark the words of the insightful old men who went before us...

"Your turn will come"

Bill and olebusman have both been there and done plenty. It is a great thing they are on here, keeping on trying. Many of their pioneering peers are out there at bus rallies, when their health allows, and not on the computer at all.

Happy coaching!

Olebusman is the other one that did the Bill Teal overdrive unit. That makes only three in existence including the original Teal one. Too bad more didn't do it as it is amazing. I met John a few years ago when we visited FL. I left my wife and sister in the car while I talked to John for over an hour. Needless to say I was in dep trouble when time passed and they came to see what I was doing. Of course I had to make it good so all of us including John and his wife went to lunch.
