What company, if any, are you using for tow insurance for your bus conversion and why?

Couch.net because AAA doesn't really deal with RV's our size. I.E. They have nobody under contract or keep references. Basically you need to do it yourself and then beg for reimbursement.

Spend a couple hours on the phone verifying this with them, luckily I didn't need a tow.

When I asked them to refund my insurance for this they refused as I technically had coverage.

Tell me if I am wrong but I think Gary is asking about insurance for his towed not towing or pickup for his Bus?

We have Safeco Insurance for the Jeep, and Bus. Just liability and medical. 57.00 a month. :)

We also carry Coach.net for retrieval of all vehicles.

Have had good sam for years. Have had to use it a hand full of times, never any issues. I have heard horror stories from other people however.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.

I am asking about insurance for having the bus towed if it breaks down.  Not that my bus will break down, but for other people.   8)

Do they cover all your vehicles without extra cost? If it does cost how much per vehicle? My bus is still under construction and sitting mostly but I'd go ahead and get it now if they'll bring my other rolling scrap heaps home.

Yes they do cover all your vehicles but only to the nearest repair facility but that could be 250 miles away sometimes..

Is that just on new policies or does that include existing policy renewals as well? If thats across the board then I think it's time to change roadside companies.

Last time I priced Coach Net their premium level which covers all your vehicles had doubled in price to well over 200 bucks, I almost fainted.

Just AAA+RV for me at the moment, since I haven't been going far from home yet.  Probably picking up Coach Net once I move beyond day-tripping.

?what  is wrong with the towing part of the insurance co one has on the bus,I read my policy from State Farm it looks good and only cost me $38.00 extra a year

The towing coverage with my auto insurance excludes motorhomes.  Don't at least some auto insurance towing coverages require you to find and pay for your own tow and they reimburse later?
