Yes, there are Google Ads on the Forum that help pay for the server and SMF software and upgrades, and for other resources to maintain the Forum. 

Phil and Krash have spent countless hours behind the scenes upgrading the Forum and warding off spambots to keep the hackers out and I felt they should be compensated for the time.  They have been responsible for keeping the Forum spam-free and maintaining over 99.9% uptime so everyone can have a place to discuss buses. 

The magazine no longer generates adequate revenue to support the Forum as the circulation is now too low, as many of our Forum members are not subscribers. I considered shutting down the Forum, but decided to continue to maintain it but include advertising to help support it.

We tried Forum Donations, but we received too much backlash, so we had to disable that and add more Google Ads to support the Forum instead. 

I am sorry if this has caused concerns on your end, but we truly do try to minimize any disruptions with the Forum.

If all it take is looking at a few adds then I am for it to keep this forum going. I was just concerned where they came from.

Fair warning for anyone using Ad Block or Ad Block Plus: They accept bribes from advertisers to let certain ones slip through.

I recommend using Ublock Origin because they don't accept bribes and you can choose to allow ads on sites you want to support. While it is a bit more technical you can even allow some ads but not others so you could leave banner ads and block the pop ups.

Gary is a good friend and people don't under stand the hours he works to keep the board and magazine going,LOL 5 am here and he is working on the magazine .He knows how much I like Google but I let the ads slide because the revenue he gets from Google helps a little but it won't buy a tank of fuel.help him out subscribe to the magazine

I want to thank everyone for their support.  I enjoy publishing the Magazine and supporting the Forum or I would have shut it down a long time ago. 

It takes a lot more work than most people realize and since I took it over in 2012, I have never drawn a salary out of the business.  It just about breaks even now and pays for me to attend some bus rallies and fuel to get there, and allows me to do some traveling in my bus. 

Bottom line, I have met some great people who have helped keep my bus running over the years so that is all I need to keep me going.

If you have suggestions to improve the magazine or the Forum, then please send them my way and I will do whatever I can to implement the suggestions.  It is best to email me with your ideas at Gary@BusConversionMagaizne.com.

I see it on windows 10 with chrome as my browser. I sometimes have to wait a minute or two before the close button on the add will work.

I got the u-block Origin. I will set it up to let those ads through on Gary's site.
