Roof sealant advice?

Getting roof ready to go on the road. We replaced both covers on the A/C units as the others had been taped here and fiber glassed there, probably from a tree limb or two over the years. They shattered when I tossed them off the roof so it was a good "upgrade".  Removed the obsolete Satellite dish but left the aluminum track on the roof since it is riveted. One window at rear was leaking when we brought it home in November. I flex sealed the edges of the tape on the edge of the roof that had wrinkled and, no more leak. There are no leaks right now. Leave it alone? Or seal the whole roof with something? Roller or paint brush Flex Seal or something else? Is something else better? Bus is a 1980 Prevost and has been coated with something a while back, but can tell it is wearing thin.

Dicor self leveling lap sealant. Stuff works great. Even after a couple of years, it doesnt harden and crack. flows out nicely but stays thick. try it. Comes in caulk tube from rv store or Amazon. Tan or white.

Dicor is good, but check first before applying it everywhere. You may not have as many leaks as you think, as least not on the body seams.

Check for missing or loose rivets. Just one hole can pass a lot of water over time. Urethane enamel will last longer than most roof coatings.

Dicor is good for around items attached to roof or patches. There are roof coatings for the rest of it. Thoroughly check it all for seams that the paint has chipped away from. an indication of slight seam movement. Check for tight paint seal around all rivets especially around front above destination sign area, if it has one there or not. Also, if you have any added caps, they are notorious for allowing water under them. AC's may need new mounting seals if it has any.

Thanks for the scoop. No leaks right now. This bus still has the original A/C units so seals may be overdue. But afraid to pull them if they don't leak? Still has original fridge, microwave etc. They are a little yellow, but doubt I can buy something now that lasts 40 years....!! New hot water heater and super gel batteries by previous guy, but everything else is oooooold. Will baby this thing along. Will check all points you said. Thanks again.

You may think those a/c roof gaskets don't leak, but the drips could be going anywhere as they follow the ceiling around and down. Pretty basic simple gaskets, easy to change. Good chance to inspect the 120v wiring to them while you're at it.

Replace the seals! Not that hard to do.
