After 15 to 20 minutes, back end goes down, front stays up. It there a solenoid valve that can drop one end of coach on these?

Are Norgren valves high maintenance or difficult to service ?

chessie4905

Norgren is a brand name valve that Prevost happens to use. Its a valve that can control air flow by an electrically activated solenoid. Similar to what GM used, referred as Skinner valves.

Good advice, the air dryers work too good for the Norgren ,I added a port past the dryer to add a little pneumatic tool oil about once a year on mine, those valves get exspensive from Prevost

Thanks. He thinks one of the left of dash switches could be in wrong position. He was fiddling with them, seeing how they work. You know, new owner. After approx. 20 minutes with coach shut off, he hears a solenoid click and rear of coach lowers. Front stays up.

Looks like he got a good deal. Owner of coach was nice guy. After the purchase the owner filled the tank for him. Coach has 3/4 or more tread on tires, engine nice and dry. Spare belts, filters, funnels, some tools esp for tire change. Owner was in 80's and no longer cared to drive. Trip log shows many trips to Nascar races. 2 replacement air bags, etc,  etc small spot of  surface rust in engine compartment. No rust anywhere else. Nephew really checked it over. Ran great, no smoke on startup after overnight sit.

After some checking, there appears to be a good air leak at rear axle air bag/s leveling valves or lines. Pressure drops to the point that valve drops pressure to tag so its not stuck trying to support whole rear of coach on two tires. More after checking point of leak. Coach came with two new airbags in compartment, so that is likely the cause.  He ordered 4 generator airbags yesterday to take care of that issue. About 87 bucks each.
