I bought a second bus.... LOL

It's a 102DL3 parts bus, retired because a bracket on the tag axle was breaking and MCI didn't make the brackets any more.  The engine and transmission were removed and now I have the rest.

We will be traveling for the next month and plan to start dismantling this bus when we return.

Parts from this bus are available to anyone that has need of them.

It's the red bus in the pictures.

I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

I was told the one remaining possibility was to have a bracket fabricated but the transportation company didn't want to go that route.

I'll have to look... The corners are still on the back, and there are parts in the bays, I think the center part of the bumper is probably in one of the bays.

Jim, I looked.  I have the rear bumper in the bay.

I'll send you a PM. Looks like about the same red as mine, What year is it? Mine is a '96.

Basically I'm interested in the bumper, the aluminum channel behind it, the ends, maybe the radiator cover and the left side engine hatch. Plus a few hinge/latch pieces if I can manage the cost plus shipping. My parts are usable but not quite right.

Looks like the rear fender on that may be the same as on a 102a3.  Is it?

Parts vehicles are awesome LOL.  Improvement at a low cost, in function and appearance.  I used the steering wheel and a steering column u-joint in my 1981, they went right in, and there is a definite improvement in the driving experience.  I'm hoping the wipers will just fit right in too, my driver's side doesn't wipe.  I would visit the u-pull auto yard regularly if I lived close to one.

Yes, but don't let it get out of control, you only have so much space to store them in.  :o

I was thinking to say it's more awesome that your friend has one than you have one :)  Then you get the benefits without any negatives.

I have 2 acres, lots of room!  ;D

I thought long and hard about getting this one... Things that sit around are a drain on the resources.  No more than one at a time for sure.
