We never hear from that nice doctor from Mexico anymore. Hope he's ok.

I have fond memories of my Mom and Don Razzing each other at the dam rally, neither one getting the upper hand on the other. Don was a good friend, a brother. Rest in peace Don! :'( :'(

He was a different Don in person than on the boards ,when around if he started talking about people that he had a problem with I would tell Don I don't want to hear it and we moved on.LOL he did take pride in having the most Ignore's on this board .I posted his death on my Time line on face book only.Donald Hann one him and Don always went after each other made a  mistake and shared my post on BCI on F/B boy that one didn't stay long on F/B

Sorry to hear of the passing of Box Car Oakie. I didn't know the man but I really enjoyed reading his stuff. I don't know a lot of bus nuts on several boards but would like the chance to sit and chat a spell in person with all of you gentlemen & ladies of coarse. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Hi Guys,

I am a longtime follower of this board and of Don. I greatly enjoyed his thoughts and expressions. I am deeply saddened by his passing, even though I never met him. As was expressed earlier, I considered him a kindred spirit.

Sorry for everyone's loss.

Sorry to hear this.  He did some interesting writing and I enjoyed a lot of it. I never had the opportunity to meet him.

Don could make you laugh or cry, wrote here and other places, addressing all kinds of inhumanities...

This death thing is really weird.  A 40-year close friend of mine died last week.  It feels like my whole sense of reality has slightly shifted.  As with Don, one day he was here telling jokes, the next he was totally missing.

There are some very creative people on this board.  We should really try to do something about this problem.

When I started this bus nut world I was the kid on the block.

Now I am the old man. The only 2 of the Jara Smith world left beside me is Ken Arnold and Jack Campbell.
