I can't seem to find the copy of Russ Long's Pre-Trip Checklist anywhere. Does someone have a copy of it? Or any other author for that matter.

I need to get the list to a bus buddy of mine.

The check list in the FMCA magazine was a good one if anyone has a copy

May not be exactly what you're looking for, but this is the one I use. It is specific to our bus, but could easily be modified.

Your state (or province) Department Of Transport will have it's own version to the pre trip inspection for commercial vehicles. It should easily be found on their website. After that, you could make up a pre flight list specific to your needs, such as: is the awning in, sewer hose in, electrical cord, TV antenna, and that sort of thing...

That's the one! I went to BNO and it said that I was no longer a member of that group! LOL

Good grief!  I was so exhausted after completing that pre trip check list that I decided to stay home.

Actually, I have pre trip (for me, pre movement) checklist on a magnetic tag just to the left of the steering wheel on the A pillar .  It keeps me from doing really stupid things like driving into the garage with the pop top up or the slide out out or the mirrors extended or the water hose still connected. or the propane on or--you get the idea.

For the camp ground a big one is to raise the leveling jacks before leaving.  Oh, and unplug from the power post.  another favorite is to forget to turn off the battery charger when on the inverter.

I'll admit to walking around the bus checking for "obvious" stuff and making sure the toad (and bus) lights work but I'll never own up to all the other pre trip $hit I do--it just can't take as long as that BNO list I'd bet.  Jack

@ Dave
That's more my kind of check list. Keep it maintained as well as possible and deal with things as (if) they happen. Like our 2 AK trips - like night & day...

Hey if you forget stuff, there's always the credit card and the excess stays in the bus....

luvrbus

The drivers manuals that comes with buses sure don't give you much of a check list before hitting the road
