We didn't gain much when Gary removed the old differential it showed to be a 3:38 ratio ,he is ok anyways with a fresh drop box and new differential  his old box was getting a little loose and found a drive shaft yoke ready to go bad,plus he has gaskets now not globs of RTV everywhere,the big news is he lost 5 lbs doing the change

OK, I make that out as about a 0.0017 percent change in the weight of the bus?

Seems like Gary's bus is in the shop an awful lot of the time!

TomC, I am always making improvements to my 1967 Eagle.  In the past four months have refurbished my tool compartement and added shelves so I can organize my tools better, and of course painted them and painted my front compartment and sealed a couple of leaks with silicone and re-insulated my generator compartment AND engine compartment with EHP insulatation to keep heat out of my bedroom and to make my generator quieter, replaced my 8 Trojan T-105 batteries with (4) Lion Energy lithium batteries, installed a new Magnum inverter and auto-generator start from Wrico International to start and stop my generator as necessary to keep my batteries charged, installed new Valvac electric/heated mirrors.  Next week Mike Wilson is going to paint the front of my bus and I am having solar installed.  I like to upgrade my bus whenever I can to keep it comfortable and suiting my needs.  I have done much more recently, but I lost track of everything.  Oh, I also had an oil leak fixed because Detroit engines are not supposed to leak, and I replaced my (2) 8D batteries with (3) Group 31 batteries and moved them closer to the starter so they would crank over faster.  This ole girl is 42 years old with 475 HP and climbs hills better than most trucks out there and is still going strong.
