I saw four or five buses on the side of interstate 44 near Sarcoxie MO. Mile marker 31 south side of the interstate. I will be passing it again on Friday. Is there any business there or is it abandoned?  Might be worth a stop.

I pulled it up on GOOGLE MAPS and yes, there are a few buses there. I see 3 EAGLES and a MCI MC7 right out front and I think another MCI but it's not easy to tell.

The buses have been there awhile the business has changed owners several times in the last 10 years since Wayne sold it I don't think the place is open any longer

I was there back in the late nineties getting parts. It looks like the main garage is not active, they had a full length pit on the East side that was handy. Looking at the satellite picture, it appears like there are about a dozen buses or RV's scattered around, mostly on the residence side of the area. Back then, all of the buses were outside the main three bay garage. It could very well be that the current owner of the house has all of the buses. It sure would not hurt to stop and inquire. There were a lot of parts in the upstairs of the garage as well.

That was who I dealt with. I remember him saying "It's like as new" a lot. He gave me a gold plated Eagle tie tac that he got from Brownsville when they were closing things out. He had a Mexican Eagle there that had sleeping quarters in the first baggage bay for the relief driver, and a solid door and wall to separate the passengers from the driver, but that was 24 years ago.

When I was there about the same time he had Mexican Greyhound Eagles for sale 45 ft with manual transmissions and 8v92's .At the time he had a pretty decent mechanic from Trailways working there I had him change my rear gear over to a 3:36 lol but I did not like the 16 penny nails he was going to use for cotter pins

The old mechanics used to use nails allatime. Soft enough they don't break when you bend them.  ;D

I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

I stopped by there today and everything was locked up. No trespassing signs everywhere. There were about six or seven Eagles there. A couple of MCI's. Everything had for sale on it. No phone number anywhere.  There was one eagle bus conversion there. Had a few parts missing off of it. Had one Houston metro 10 bus there.   I wish I could have found a phone number.

Current property owner lives in CA. I may have his contact info, as he had a Scenicruiser (still there I presume) on eBay several months ago. I'll take a look this weekend.

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com
