Finally-my 26 year old water heaters are going to have to be replaced. In Quartzsite, one (I have 2-10gal) started leaking. I simply disconnected it and am using the other water heater. What maintenance?-When I remembered-to drain once a year. That's it! I bet you Aqua-hot users can't say that. I'm so pleased with the performance, I'll be putting the exact same back in and have used the same in my truck conversion.

The two are plumbed with one into the next for a total of 20 gal. With two water heaters, I can go from cold water to ready to use in about an hour. The first water heater is wired directly, the second is wired to the inverter so I can have hot water going down the road. Simple, no coolant or fuel lines. Both new water heaters should be around $700. Good Luck, TomC

Country Coach used 2-10 Seward electric water heaters in their conversion for many years only difference is they use a heat exchanger for making hot water from the engine.I have a newer model of the AquaHot  when Loyd's son changed the fuel filter he told me it's not going to have the problems of the older model, different coil routing inside the tank, better pumps, different nozzle, better control boards and so on lol but time will tell, it is quieter  and cleaner burning that I do know from past dealing with AquaHot works good on the pole also with the 2 heating elements instead of the 1 element

Tom, what kind of water heaters are they?  Mine is electric too but I have to check and see what the brand is.

Tom,
I wish we could have met.  I was with the Eagle group over by the corner by I10 and Hwy 93.  My first time.  We really had a blast.

I don't believe my electric water heater lasted even 10 years before it started leaking.  I faithfully drained all the water every fall before winter si don't think it froze.

Replacing anode rod helps a lot in longevity. Probably good to purchase an extra rod when new. Only problem would be that they go in from top and heater removal from bay would be needed. I guess one of the things I dislike about water heaters is that fittings are moved around a lot, requiring modifying the plumbing everything they are changed. Thank goodness for the short ss flex hoses now. Makes changing much simpler. One of the main things about water heaters and water pumps. Make them simple to change out after a failure.
