Just convert one of those moving van trailers, add slides, air ride, panoramic windows, maybe pull a second pup trailer for the mother in law.

Exactly, it is hard to even image how such a large space (coast to coast commercial moving trailer) could be configured. Gotta believe it makes a bus conversion seem like a studio. Oh, much less stress maintaining a common semi pulling it.

Not so hard to imagine - it would look something like this: https://spacecraftmfg.com/showcase/57-semi/

Be nice, but not something you could pull into a KOA for a weekend getaway trip, that's for sure.

I doubt with that kind of money, KOA wouldn't  be on their list of accommodations. Probably use those rv resorts. Might as well get steerable axles on the trailer.

I seriously considered a semi moving trailer converted to living quarters before going the bus route.  I drove 1,000 miles to go look at a moving trailer partially converted to living quarters that also was equipped with ramp to load vehicles.  Tons of space, but traveling would be crowded with everyone in a semi tractor.  The traveling part was the main reason I didn't do it.

Suspension, suspension, suspension...

Momma isn't going to like all the dishes smashed on the floor...

Trucks ride like trucks. Takes some engineering thought to soften them up a bit.

Back to the wrecking yard, door latches and locks. Far more robust than RV sourced ones.

Modern fuel filter, Raccor and friends.

Smaller rectangular fuel tanks off a 5 ton, if you want some more capacity in a nice shape.

Happy coaching!
