hello all,

Can anyone suggest a company or installer to install a inverter system in a 1976 MCI 5B Challenger on the East coast of the US?
I have gutted the bus and have installed an Onan 10K generator and have all the conduit ready for the system.

Thanks

You could try the alternative energy vendors?

Use one that carries your brand.

You're a similar install for a good vendor. Blending grid, solar, wind, inverter and a generator in some combination is their bread and butter.

Remind them about switching the neutral/ground bonding...

happy coaching!

What Tom said.

There's so many charlatans in that business that you're going to have to know enough to know whether they're doing it right anyway.  By the time you get to that point the only advantage the "pros" will have is that they MAY have the right tools.  Mostly that means a good crimper.

The last thing I would ever want to do is hurt you.
Its the last thing but its still on the list.

Is there a specific reason that you don't want to do this yourself?

I've got a working relationship with an electrician - he's done lots of work for me over the years, and on something like this I'd buy him a beer and he'd stop by to double check my work after I was done. Gives me peace of mind that I did it correctly, and saves me the expense of paying him to do what I can do myself.

Call Chris Hanrahan at Tekris. He repairs and installs all inverters and several of our Southeast Bus Nuts have been quite satisfied with his work. He is in Wall Township, New Jersey, which more than halfway up the coast. Phone: 732-938-4996.
      Good luck!

Thanks to all.
The reason I don't want to do it all by myself is I have no knowledge of the systems and very cautious of electric.
Once I see how it works and learn the in and outs I can handle myself.
