chessie, it's actually very nice, well laid out, realitavily new power, bath house, wash/dryer area. The convoy exit from the mesa, where the RV park area is, to the marina down below is all graded, stripped of natural plants, but well paved. Next year there will be a newly paved access road from the new I-11/US93, avoiding the wash outs and smoothing things out. The natural Mojave plants are all around the RV spaces, lvmci...

Those last pictures look much nicer. If I would have followed post from beginning, I'd have seen the better background pictures. I mostly only quickly glanced just to remove the "new" flag as it may as well be on the moon to travel there from Pa. Maybe someday.
Let's see...5000 mile round trip, 1000 gallons of fuel average with oil use also. $4500+ food.💰💰💳💳💳

Next year I've been thinking about transitioning, with the pre rally at lake mead RV park, for 2 days, then with a part only one other rally has in the US, a convoy, to Willow Beach for the main rally for 3 days, of course anyone can stay more days. The convoy was a lot of fun, got great reactions from everyone, from the video and for passersby. I think I want to incorporate the convoy, distinguishing our rally. Keeping the actual rally and pre rally to 5 days total, some busnuts have expressed a want to go to town, Boulder City or The Hoover Dam Lodge ( where I met Nicky) and had concern about the distance, so I would like to keep lake mead rv park for a bit more till people get used to the distance not being that great.
01nov friday thru 03sunday at willow beach. Those dates would allow people to do either,  if they can't make one or if the location is better for them, still allowing for the convoy. So let's settle on 30/31oct & 01/03nov, pre rally & dam rally.

Thanks Tom.  Sounds good to us----of course I'll have long since lost track of dates and times by then so a reminder late next summer might be in order.  Jack
