After reading all the projects going on here I decided I would get  involved myself. Hope I can pic all the brains here once in a while. It'll be the first of march before the weather gets good enough to bring it home ( SC to OR ) as winter is too deep right now.  Jerry

Welcome to the Asylum Jerry!

You'll have many long tales of funto tell soon enough!

Where in SC is the coach located? If you need any help, there are quite a few of us nuts in the area.

Thanks Nick,
I hope to gleen some info from where ever anf find where to go to get the right stuff to make this bus do it's thing. I guess we all have our ideas to roll our own and have a machine that peforms for a long time with out spending all our spare time working on it. I think the whole idea makes a good hobby and a place to direct whatever creative energy we can muster and afford.

Yeah! Me too.  I'm not too far from Greer.  Who wants to do it on a Monday?  That's my day off you know.  Dallas, I'll bet you could have Monday off if you really wanted to!  ;)

I'll drive down to Greer to see a bus that's about to travel cross country! Wow! That's gonna be a ride!  :D  Be a fun ride in the late spring or summer.
Snow sucks.  Ice sucks more.

No It's not paid for yet but just a deposit until I send the rest of the mooola. Appreciate the help . They say the tires are shot and I need to know if they will make it to ORegon. They claim it runs great but then they are selling. Jerry

Well Shucks! I've got to work on Monday. Maybe I can go over on Saturday morning with a camera.

Jerry, Have you been here to inspect the bus?

You only 5 miles from the airport (GSP) which is 6 miles from me. If you need a ride from the airport, let me know.

As for the tires. . . How long are you planning on the conversion work to take? If over a couple of years, I'd suggest getting some decent takeoffs to make the trip home. (I have tires on my bus that are too old to use safely, but they only have 20k miles on them.)

Thats certainly a very nice model bus to convert.  Nice looking, large and great drivetrain. Congrats!
