rusty water from hot tap ?

when I first turn on the hot water tap inside the coach some rusty water comes out for a few seconds ?then it clears up

I have a aqua hot ahe 100 system

plus I would like the # for the burner nozzle from a normal oil burner supplier to do maintenance 

any ideas ?

What kind of piping do you have to/from the aquahot?  Any steel in there?

Although if it happens every time you turn on the hot water, makes me think that it's in the heater, possibly the electric heating element (Aquahot has an electric option, IIRC..??)

The only steel in our water line from the water heater is the elbows that come out of the tank and every time the coach sits for more than a week, you turn on hot water and get a moment of rust. Very normal. If you're using it everyday like we do most times and you get rust out the hot tap only, you might want to investigate further

Change any iron or steel fittings to brass or stainless steel. Even "galvanized" fittings will do this because the galvanizing is removed when they cut the threads.

is the electric water tank made out of steel and could that be the cause of it ?

I looked on the aqua hot site but it does not show the water tank .

all the water lines are 1/2" copper or 3/4 " pex

Probably. Coating in tank deteoriated and has exposed the steel and is rusting, soon clear through. How old is it?

For the burner nozzle, pull it out and go "part in hand" to your local home heating supplier.

Then you'll have what you need for local source.

If anyone has a reliable cros reference for Webasto/Aquahot nozzles, please share.

18 years old with a 126 k miles on it

I found the #s for the nozzle and the filter and can get them from amazon but I will talk to my plumbing wholesaler that I deal with to see if he can get them

I have crystal clear water now  ( sort of ) I installed a wix cooleat filter base and a wix NO CHEMICAL filter on the hot water line after the heater

wix filter base # 24763  $ 49    wix filter # 24070    $ 15 each bought 2   they are for a diesel truck coolant filter both good to 220 deg.

I did a test right off the heater today from the low point drain before the new filter to see the colour of the water from the water heater

it was all clear ... but I did not have the hot water heater element on or the boiler  running

could the rust be coming from the 120 volt heating element ?
