Grim reminder why we live in a bus...

Last night in Louisiana in an RV Park a two year old little girl lost her life when a tree dropped on her family's fifth wheel. We have a two year old little girl ourselves so this hits close to home. I wish people would consider these situations before living full time in s&s campers... so thankful for my bus. I know that large tree would have certainly cause extensive damage to our bus, but I also know it wouldn't have been nearly as extensive as what we are seeing in this photo:

The weather was terrible last night in Texas and Louisiana,I saw a H-45 Prevost that hail had destroyed this morning in Texas

I know a large enough tree will flatten literally anything including a coach...but geez, in a Bus you have at least a fighting chance. Yeah we got nasty weather and hail last night here in Kansas City

Its a terrible thing and please don't think I'm taking it lightly but it reminded me of an incident when I was a kid.

Our United Church minister was camping at a local lake in a travel trailer.  A storm came up and blew a tree over.  It sliced through the Kilpatrick's trailer much as the one in the picture did.  Evidently just moments before the tree came down Grace had picked up the baby from the rear bed and carried it to the front thereby saving it from getting squished when the tree flattened the back of the trailer.  The next morning I was at the local gas station with my father and one of the owners commented "That was a hell of a thing for the Lord to let happen to a preacher - and on Sunday night to boot."

Crazy story...never will I fulltime in an RV. Doesn't mean I'm completely bulletproof but again gives us a fighting chance.
