Hi 2short, Jack & Fred have hit on my solution, that solved my flow issues, it was the flow restrictors on the shower head and areator on the bathroom faucet, that kept the tankless from continually firing. The kitchen always had hot water continually, which caused me to investigate, I unscrewed the areator and unscrewed the shower head and continuous hot water. Before I had to turn on both faucets to run hot water. Try my experiment, see if it works, lvmci...

I have a 110v on demand like you're looking at on Amazon. I replaced a 10 gal. tank. We have a dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, and shower. We're also full-timers. We really love this unit and while we can't do all three activities at the same time, we can shower a and run one of the two others at the same time. Plus we got about 3 cubic feet of additional space. Enough to move cat litter box into the under-washer space.

We just love our 20 gal electric for a lot of decades. We service it every 7-10 years by cleaning all the sediment out of it & replacing the annode rod. Once turned off will keep plenty warm for a couple days & more hot water than you can use :-) we also have a 6 gal propane for pure boon docking.

On Amazon you can select either the 2.5 gallon $169.99 , the 4 gallon $186.95 , or the 7 gallon $187.53 .

I would certainly get the 7 gallon, The price difference between each of these is only about $18, at $187.53 I consider it quite reasonable.

They are also rated at 12A at 120V, I don't consider that outragoues either.

We currently have a 6 Gallon Propane fired Hot water heater in our Class C and have never run out while taking a shower with that, Although the shower is so rediculously small in the Class C you don't stay in there for long anyway.

I'd compare the recovery rate between the propane and the electric. May be important.

When my regular water heater went out on me ,I let a guy from the gas company talk me into putting one of those tankless water heaters in my house.Absolutely one of the worst mistakes I ever made in my life. Words can not describe how much I hate this darned thing!!!

Exactly. It runs on 120V or propane except that I very rarely need to run it on those because of the heat from the engine warmant. Compact unit, lots of hot water (and it has a built-in "tempering valve" to take 180 degree water from the engine coil and mix it with cool water to give you regular hot water -- the 11 gallons in the tank becomes 20 - 25 - 30 gallons delivered to your taps.
