MCI Rear Hatch Door

I am in the middle of having my bus painted.  When they did the conversion they changed the front and rear cap.  The was the new cap is the upper engine hatch rubs when you open it due to the new style cap.  We have tried several things on adjusting the hatch but no luck fixing it.  The hitch has a curve made into it so it only rubs in the middle. 

Does anyone else have a similar bus with an upgraded cap and found a fix for this?

Either put some washers under your hinges to bring the blower door outward a bit, or use a diamond grinder and take a small amount off the bottom of the cap.  Or a combination of both.
