Car towing considerations

We normally tow a 24 foot trailer with our trike and jeep in it. About 10000 pounds. The bus gets 5 MPG with or without the trailer, 55 or 70 doesn't make any difference. Speed is affected a little, I have a 8V92 500 hp and as Russ said watch the temp like a hawk even with all I have done to keep it cool. I like my toys.

I pull a Honda CRV.  Love it, super easy, light, cheap.

@Scott - The link in my post shows the same setup. Heavy duty front bumper with the connection parts welded to it. That would be the AAA configuration; also the most $$$.

@Dave, I contacted Blue Ox and they stated they do not have base plates for pre 1998 (Series 100) LC. Roadmaster also same thing, Series 100 but not Series 80. More research on IH8MUD; looks like a custom job. The Blue Ox brackets are available for 70 bucks so quite affordable to weld to a bar plus a couple drilled L brackets drilled to bolt to the frame. Cheap, safe, and works.

I pull a geo tracker, 2600 lbs. Light 4 wheel drive 4 person capable 4 down towing.

My tow car is Suzuki Vitara two door. 4 wheel drive auto with front lock out hubs. At least if my coach has major mechanical failure, I can tow it home..... or off the road.
