I never tried it but I see a lot of full timers that flood their transmission (overfill) in the tow vehicles.I wasted a $3000.00 transmission in a Lexus with one of my great inventions and engineering fetes so I am a little gun shy on revamping  ???

Yes, as was mentioned, get a vehicle that can be towed four down. My 2005 GMC Canyon is towable, and my former PU, a 1996 Sonoma was towable with a driveline disconnect.  My son now has the Sonoma, and I am going to take the disconnect off and sell it along with the tow brackets.

When working at Los Angeles Freightliner, one of our delivering contractors had 6 cars that they used to pull behind the trucks for out of state delivery. All were just idled while pulling. The disconnect, they said, were a pain and needed lots of maintenance.
I have a Remco driveline disconnect on my '84 Mercedes Turbodiesel that has worked flawlessly for 15 years. But-I liberally spray the disconnect with synthetic spray lube everytime before using it. Good Luck, TomC

Got Electricity and Water for 4-5 coaches.  Less that a mile to a
dumpstation.  Stop by and sit a spell.

I posted a lengthy reply but it was lost.....  Not worth the effort to repeat it.
